welcome to Sishen Cobras Basketball Club

To encourage a love for the game and strengthen basketball skills in our district, Sishen Cobras Basketball Club is open to all residents of Kathu, Sesheng, Mapoteng, Olifantshoek, Deben, Siyathemba and Kuruman.

We run the Gamagara Basketball League from our club. Established in 2016, the league caters for the communities of Gamagara, as well as a team from Gasegonyana.

As a sign of the success of this league, both High Schools and Primary Schools entered their third season in 2018.

The objectives of the league are to:

Stimulate sports and recreation in the community of John Taolo Gaetsewe District
Create an enabling environment that will allow development and growth of basketball in the district.

The Courts

Sishen Cobras Basketball Club initially used to practice on the netball courts at SIVOS stadium. The club has since grown, and was provided with a top-class outdoor court in 2014 by Kalahari Country Club. The court is used by the club for practice and local games.
