This is an exceptional place to stable and exercise your horse, train in your equestrian sport of choice, or take your family for a leisurely ride under the expansive Kalahari sky.
Kathu Equestrian Club offers both recreational horse riding and various equestrian sporting activities. Our club offers 75 walk-out stables with plenty of space for horses to enjoy the sun and scenery.
We are passionate about the wellbeing of our horses – and the joy and success of our riders.

Facilities

The club also provide grazing field facilities were horses live out in a herd for owners wanting to rest performance horses or allow their horses to mature.
There is dressage, jumping, showing and endurance facilities on the club grounds as well as lovely outride space for the relaxed rider between the thorn trees and wildlife. The club accommodates riders and horses of different disciplines, like dressage, show Jumping, endurance, eventing and as well as Saddlebred showing.
Community
We have a friendly community of owners and riders and host pleasure rides in grazing fields and clubs’ activities like braai’s were members can enjoy the company of like-minded people in the outdoor setting. Children are allowed to safely enjoy the horse rides, space and freedom provided by of the club grounds.

- Feed: R680 full feed
- Membership fee (2x Horses max): R50 per member
- Stall: R132 per horse
- KCC: R305 per horse
- Graze camp (2x places max per member): R 50 per camp (R100 for 2 places) – Optional
- De-worming: R110-R140 dependant of type of de-worming – Every 3 months, compulsory

Swimming Season Highlights for 2018/2019

Meandri de Vos (8 years old) broke 2 x NCASA records (100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke). These records were previously set up by Sasha Coetzee about 14 years ago.
